PROGRAMS FOR CURRENT ACCOUNTS
BAS Management can assist you in finding problem areas in your Revenue Cycle and design processes to keep these accounts from becoming Bad Debt.
INSURANCE FOLLOW UP
We have personnel experienced in handling a wide range of problem insurance accounts including Commercial, Auto, HMO, PPO, Medicare and Medicaid accounts that are beginning to age. We can help you determine where the problem lies and collect the claims at our low Early Out Rates.
SELF PAY ACCOUNTS
Consistency of follow up is imperative in any revenue management program. Our program insures that all accounts are followed up on a regular basis following our client’s protocol and lowering the percentage of accounts that ultimately become Bad Debt.
SELF PAY AFTER INSURANCE
We insure that your patients are notified when Insurance pays its portion of the bill and advise them of their responsibility for the deductible and/or co-payment due.
POTENTIAL CHARITY PROGRAM
Our program scrubs your accounts to identify accounts that may qualify for charity.
PROGRAMS FOR BAD DEBT ACCOUNTS
Our Collections Department always operates according to both the word and the intent of PL 95-109, the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. We treat your customers with respect and dignity in all of our communications. Our goal is to collect the account in such a way that you do not lose a customer.
We can modify our Bad Debt approach to accommodate our client’s policies. We can also place past due accounts with the various Credit Bureaus but only do that with our client’s permission.
SECONDARY COLLECTIONS
Your customer’s financial situation may change over time so it is a good idea to take another look at all accounts. If your collection efforts have previously been unsuccessful we have the efficiency built into our system to re-work accounts in a cost effective manner. Our system also allows us to re-work accounts after a period of time. We can set our system to re visit accounts automatically after a period of time ie; 6 to 9 months.
LEGAL ACCOUNTS
If all collection efforts fail, we research accounts for potential legal action. If the account is collectible through legal action we can forward it to our attorney with our client’s permission.
